Mission
Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a camp and
retreat center that draws upon our Christian heritage
and the camp's unique New England setting. It is a
place in which all people are welcome to live, study,
work and share together. Our emphasis is on serving
the presbyteries of New England and the Presbyterian
Church USA (PCUSA).
FAITH, HOPE, GROWTH: Camp Wilmot has
a holistic vision of service to persons, churches
& groups in light of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
It is ecumenical, evangelical and commited to social
justice and ecological stewardship. Staff are committed
to what it means to be stewards of the mysteries of
God (I Peter 4:10) and of Creation (Genesis 2:15).
Camp Wilmot is a place of COMMON GROUND for all.
Camp Wilmot Objectives
Our goal is for a well rounded and spiritual
camping experience for everyone who comes to Camp
Wilmot. This means caring Christian interactions with
all camp directors, counselors, and campers onsite.
We want the camp to be rewarding spiritually
and emotionally for all campers. Camp should be fun!
Campers can learn new things, see old friends and
meet new ones.
Camping is an experience in community
living. We provide opportunites to practice being
unselfish, cooperative, responsible, self-controlled,
honest and considerate of others.
The camp program should stimulate development
in each camper.
