Camp Wilmot Retreat Center Facilities
Main Lodge: 4 bedrooms (varying capacity in each room between 2-6 beds); 3.5 bathrooms; screened in front deck with Adirondack chairs with great view of camp; small conference room; main camp office; payphone; camp phone for emergencies; laundry (washer & dryer) in basement; electricity; heated
Dining Hall and Kitchen: Seats 100+ people; large space for meetings with stackable chairs; basic sound equipment (mic.) available; upright piano; full commercial-sized kitchen; commercial dish washer; 2 large drop in style deep freezers; walk-in refrigerator; several regular refrigerators; heated
Asper Inn: 1 full bathroom; 2 bedrooms; sleeps 8; refrigerator; electricity; heated (can be used as an infirmary)
White Birch Cabin: 1 full bathroom; 2 bedrooms; sleeps 6; desk; electricity; heated
Historic Barn: large open area for meetings; stackable chairs; large working fireplace hearth; 6 basic bedrooms with bunks upstairs; men’s and women’s bathrooms with showers and stalls; electricity
Eliot Pavilion: large enclosed space for meetings/ games; ping pong tables; table games; benches; chairs; screened in porch with several Adirondack chairs
Christopher’s Haven: separate house with 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4-6; 1 bathroom; kitchen; large living room space with couches & sunlights; large deck with great view down to pond; large desk; fireplace/wood stove; electricity (NOTE: running water and heat expected summer 2006)
Canteen: small structure used as camp store with electricity and 2 refrigerators
Cabins (each cabin sleeps 10, single beds; full bathroom with hot water; electricity; not heated):
- 4 Vesper Cabins
- 5 Lake Cabins
- 2 Ledge Cabins
- 1 Hideaway Cabin (this cabin sleeps 20; two full bathrooms; large central meeting space; tables; kitchenette, stove; refrigerator; working fireplace hearth; electricity; not heated)
Vesper Hill: beautiful hill overlooking camp with large campfire circle (and cross); rows of benches can seat up to 50
Whites Pond: Large private and quiet pond with sandy beach; H-shaped docks with swimmers and beginners sections; Adirondack chairs and benches; canoes; kayaks; funyaks; row boats; beach and water related games; trail that circles pond
Pond Shore Circle: scenic campfire circle spot (with wooden cross) with picnic tables on shore of pond
Camp Outpost: clearing in woods short hike from pond that can be used for tenting; outhouse and campfire circle
Low Ropes Course: certification required for use; about 15 excellent elements
Hiking Trails: several marked trails that wind through our 200+ acres of woods and fields and hilltops
Activity Fields: informal soccer field; volleyball nets, etc.
Sports Depot: building that stores game and playing equipment
Children’s Playground: for the youngsters in your group - slides, swings, and more!
Arts & Crafts Building: building set nicely in a clearing of woods with large deck and tables & benches for crafts
Nature Hut: small hut in nice clearing of woods with many collections of local natural specimens and guidebooks
Photography Hut: small hut that can be used for photography (must supply own equipment)
